The Corporate Trainer
For the last 14 years David has been the personal trainer and health and fitness consultant to the New Forest site of a privately owned UK multinational chemicals company.
Coaching the staff and being part of their fitness team has been a real privilege. Their foresight in helping to promote global health and fitness has been inspiring.
They currently sponsor the world's number one touring racing bike team, the Mercedes Formula One racing team, and Sir Ben Ainsley's Great Britain sail GP team. Also, providing the sponsorship and showing incredible attention to detail saw possibly the greatest sporting achievement for 2019, when Eluid Kipchoge ran the world's first sub-two-hour marathon. This achievement will undoubtedly remain etched in the history books.
Motor Racing
One of David's most exciting projects to date was becoming the exercise and nutritional coach to a Ferrari 360 racing team. He was responsible for the overall fitness of the drivers ensuring they were physically strong enough to cope with the rigours of motor racing. This resulted in David travelling to Le Mans, France and working at the world famous 24 hour race and also the historic Grand Prix in Monaco and endurance events at Silverstone.
David at the yearly New Forest Cycletta
In excess of 800 women turned out for the Human Race Cycletta at host venue Beaulieu. The Cycletta is the UK's leading series of women only bike rides, organised by Olympic Gold Medalist Victoria Pendleton. David was brought in to run the post stretching cool down programme for all participants as the New Forest's leading personal trainer.
Sending A Team Off To The North Pole
David also became involved in the fitness training of a North Pole expedition team. Twice weekly training of one of the team members included 8 months of gruelling tyre pulling meant he was ready for the challenge. For those team members who were not based in this country, David designed and produced a core strength, fitness and stamina DVD to help prepare them for the challenge.
Veteran expedition leader, Doug Stoop had extremely high praise for the team, calling them "incredibly strong". Ultimately their level of fitness helped them reach the North Pole in a record time.
